San Jose Earthquakes 2008 Home Kit
A fresh home kit for a fresh start as a club. Black is not any player’s favorite choice for a hot summer season, but it rarely gets too hot in the Bay Area. The light blue works very well with the main black color and the two stars above the club crest are clearly visible on this black background. The club is obviously still very proud of their successful heritage, advertising their two MLS Cup victories on their sponsor-less shirt.

San Jose Earthquakes 2008 Away Kit
The white away shirt beckons more to the older days. The white and light blue, with “EARTHQUAKES” stamped on the chest, looks like something the club might have worn before they disbanded in 2005. One detail that may be overlooked, but which does a lot for this kit, is the black line bordering the light blue accents, which both contrasts the blue and white colors, and also matches the club crest.
