Romania 2007-08 Home and Away Kit

Written by Brad Barnett. Tagged: Romania

Searching for the Romania kits was a difficult task as no retailer that I could find carried the kit itself. However I have found pictures of the two kits. All be it small, you can still see the design of the kits. Click here to go to the Romania page of the Euro 2008 tournament for a picture of the kits.

What I do like about the kits are the incorporation of the national colors. The home kit features a burnt yellow base with red throughout the top and of course the 3 Adidas stripes in the same red. The away kit is set on a field of white with red and green markings throughout. Adidas did a nice job with the colors on the kits, and I think even if Romania does not play well, their country is well represented on the pitch by world class athletes and a great looking kit. I’m giving this one a 3 out of 5. Mainly because I can not see enough of it to really make a true judgement on it, but the kit design itself is a good one by Adidas.

  1. Hi! First of all congratulations for this blog. Regarding this article, I have to say that this is the old Romania football kit (2006-2007). The new kit was not launched yet, as far as I know. Here’s a link with an image of this kit: http://www.subsidesports.com/uk/images/product/xlarge/RomaniaHSS0607a.jpg. I think after you’ll see this one that it deserves at least 4 out of 5 :D.

  2. Sorry for the bad link. Here’s the good one: http://www.subsidesports.com/uk/store/product_details.jsp?pid=216172782113784467&portal=af

  3. Thanks Stefan! I would agree with you, the 06-07 Romania kit definitely deserves 4 out of 5 stars. I hope that Romania keeps the tradition of great looking kits going in the future.

  4. I have this kit and it is as nice on person as in the Subside pic. BTW, I think this is the kit they will wear in 08 too.

  5. i don’t think they will have the same kit for euro 2008.
usualy adidas national teams change the kit once @ 2 years.

they will porbably have the new kit when they play the first friendly this year

  6. The 2008 kit that will be used at the Euro was revealed by this website: http://www.footballshirtculture.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1128&Itemid=26
It will be launched officially at the end of March, when they will play a friendly match with Russia. I personaly like it more than the old one. Its simplicity gives style. I give 5 out of 5! :)

  7. What’s your rating for this new romanian shirt, Brad?

  8. After seeing the new kit, I like it. I think it is definitely a 4 out of 5 stars from me. The color scheme and design are nice and flow smoothly together.

  9. Finally it has to much blue on the sides to deserve 5 out of 5… I take back my previous rating… well… you’re right with 4! ;) I’ll buy it anyways!

  10. Gotta say, I love the old 2006-7 shirt. Definitely better in my opinion. I’m trying to get hold of one but can’t find it anywhere to buy. Any ideas?

Not sure on the new kit…doesn’t look as good as the 2006-7 one.
