Manchester City 08-09 Home Kit

Manchester City’s 08/09 home kit will be launched on Saturday 19 July (in association with Official Club Sponsor, Thomas Cook, and Official Sportswear Partner, Le Coq Sportif).

With LCS onboard City’s shirts were a touch different than the rest of the bunch last season and this year it’s more of the same - while the shirt is all light-blue with a swash of white running from the collar down the left side, the shorts are a different matter with the right side blue and the rest all-white.

Eye-catching, to say the least.

nowhere near as good as last years

  2. yea totally this kit sucks !!! old one was wayy better !

  3. What do you expect? City needs to drop LCS and get a real shirt sponsor

  4. The new Man City football shirt is very plain and simple, which seems to fit in with the style of many other football kits released this season! Maybe that is just the style this year?

I agree that this kit isn’t very inspiring and I do feel Man City should really try to be a little bit more innovative and creative with their designs.

  5. It’s not bad and at least the blue is a fresher colour than last season’s insipid colour — that lacked any kind of emotional vibrancy. But I think the design is too awkward and the designer has simply tried too hard. When it comes to fashion, less is more. It’s been several seasons now that City have not had a really good home kit and I think it will take a change in shirt brand before we see one. As for the away kit, it’s much better than last season’s kit and the more aggressive use of black really works.

  6. ugly. one word.

  7. the shorts are pathetic !!

  8. hahaha … jus imagine if ronaldinho had chosen city … jus imagine him playn in this …

  9. lol - might be the reason he turned them down :)

  10. Were Le Coq Sportiff high when they designed this kit this time round? It looks mental!
