Ajax 08-09 Home Kit
The Ajax 2008/2009 home shirt was released earlier this month:
Middlesbrough’s 08/09 away kit, manufactured by Errea and sponsored by Garmin features blue and black vertical stripes (yea, I know!):
Will these boots change the way football shoes are designed?
In just a matter of weeks, the UK will see the eagerly awaited worldwide launch of Concave, a revolutionary new generation of football boot which, it is claimed, will change the face of the sport forever.
The history of the football boot
1526: The earliest football boot is recorded as belonging to King Henry VIII
1800’s: Players wore hard, leather work boots, which were long laced and steel toe capped as the first football boots
Late 1800’s: Football boots shifted to a slipper style shoe, which were made of thick, hard leather going up the ankle for increased protection and incorporated leather studs - they weighed 500g
Stuttgart’s 08/09 third shirt again has the same template as the home kit but this time the Puma logos on the shoulders are gone, the base color is black, hoop and sleeve ends are red while the Puma logo and sponsor logo are white.

Nike has effectively designed a shirt fit for players and cheerleaders both - this is the best time for BVB to introduce a cheerleading squad, hmmm?
Bolton Wanderers’ O8/09 home shirt is a pleasant surprise - unlike past seasons, this kit is NOT all-white.
It’s still mostly white, of-course, with the new sponsor logo in blue and a shade of navy blue on the shoulders with red trim and blue shorts. You have to see it to believe it - the shoulders look a cross between pads and a holster, although I’m just glad that they’ve gone with something other than just plain-white.

Hamburg HSV’s preparations for the new 08/09 season sees them stick to the same home and 3rd kits as last season (white with red pinstripes for the home shirt and a solid red for the 3rd) and a new away shirt (HSV are sponsored by Adidas) featuring a similar style to the half-and-half shirts that other European teams have launched this summer (including Barcelona (Nike) and Blackburn (Umbro)).
