Chelsea 08/09 Away Shirt

Written by Soccerlens. Tagged: 2008/2009 Kits - Adidas - Chelsea

Chelsea’s 08/09 away kit will be launched on 10th July and is available for pre-order right now.

This year Chelsea have gone with a black away kit - you can hardly go wrong with black, but then again once you move away from electric yellow black almost seems tame in comparison.

Nothing spectacular about the kit - the usual Adidas stuff on the shoulders, sleeves and sides. I’d make a joke about Chelsea’s football being as exciting as their black and white shirt but the kit is decent, so let’s leave that for the 3rd kit, eh?

I thought these were the 3rd jerseys?

  2. nope, announced as the away kit.

  3. third is yellow

  4. OK not bad … at least better than the yellow shits

  5. I actually quite like this new Chelsea away kit, it’s simple and quite striking. Although is it just me or does it look a little like a referee’s jersey?

This shirt might confuse people into thinking they are suddenly watching their football on black and white again if there is a sudden close up!

Overall I feel the new Chelsea kits look very professional and are an improvement from last years.

  6. I think anything would be better than the electric yellow. This one restores some class when Chelsea leaves the bridge, but is Adidas launching a campaign against white? Chelsea’s kit colors are blue, black, and most likely yellow. Newcastle is black and white like always, and deep purplish blue, and liverpool red and grey and most likely green. Personally I would love to see chelsea in a white kit again. i Thought their third kit last year would have been a great away kit.

  7. these are nice, better then those ugly home kits

much more better than both other kits. sure gotta have this one.

  9. Just bought the top today. A hard choice between the home and the away, but this looks better in my opinion. Look forward to see Deco in this top. Hope to get Lampard on back, but holding out to see where his future lies. HE BETTER NOT LEAVE!!
