Blackburn Rovers 08-09 Away Kit

Written by Soccerlens. Tagged: 2008/2009 Kits - Blackburn - Umbro

Blackburn’s 08/09 away shirt has a navy blue base with royal blue trim on the collar and sleeve ends and white and royal blue strips running down the center of the shirt (broken by the CP logo).

You have to see it to believe it, but I think Umbro have done an excellent job with the away kit and come up with a progressive shirt design that perfectly accommodates the Crown Paints logo.

I was a huge fan of last year’s red and black away kit but Umbro have managed to live up to their work from then and put out an great-looking away kit. If only they could do the same with the home kit…

They’ll need a third kit though - two blue kits (home is half-blue) aren’t going to fly for many of their away games.

I agree, I think that it is a marvelous design and will look good when wearing against the likes of sunderland etc. It is a shame about the shome strip so far, there has to be red in it, there just has to be!!!

  2. Are you lot urging us to purchase this anywhere in particular?

  3. Hmm…not yet Jason, when it’s up for sale somewhere I’ll update the page with the right links :)

  4. It was ment to be realsed on 12th July when the new club shop opens but Umbro screwed up and have pushed back the release date, but havent set a new date yet, Iagree theres gunna have to be a 3rd shirt …poss yello?

  5. the rovers 3rd kit is the same black and red as last season jsut sponsered with crown paints, they will wear it 6 times.

  6. I highly suspect the 3rd kit will be the season 07/08 away kit, i.e. black n red halves, but with the new sponsor, I heard it back last season sometime.

  7. Big possibility this could outsell the home shirt, the touch of blue and white centre detail gives it the edge over the home shirt for me. I agree, the home shirt should have red detail on it ALWAYS!
