Aston Villa 08/09 Home Shirt
Aston Villa’s 08/09 home kit launches on 24th July. New shirt sponsors - Acorns Children’s Hospice - are confirmed. Villa have ‘given’ their shirt sponsorship deal away, which means that Acorns gets sponsorship on the Villa kits for free.

I am very impressed that Aston Villa’s new shirt for the upcoming season will be sponsored by Acorn - a great children’s charity.
I feel more clubs should take this step as a clubs money can be gained through other streams, such as gate receipts and television deals. This would leave sponsorship deals open for great charitable donations and help enhance the reputation of football clubs in the World’s media.
Is it true that Aston Villa will be joining Barcelona as a small group of clubs using a charity as their “sponsorship deal”?
